Privacy policy
PageWright is a handwriting and PDF notebook app for iPad. You do not need a PageWright account. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics SDKs.
Your notebooks
Notes, imported documents, images and recordings are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, notebook data is stored in your own private CloudKit database under your Apple account. The developer cannot browse that private database. With sync enabled, your own nearby devices may exchange notebook changes over an authenticated, encrypted local connection. You can disable sync in PageWright Settings and local-network permission in system Settings.
Recognition and sharing
Handwriting recognition, OCR and other supported intelligence features run on device. Exporting, sharing and choosing a backup folder send files only to the destination you select. A cloud-backed folder is subject to its provider's privacy policy.
Optional feedback
When you choose Send feedback, you can review the complete report before sending. It contains your message, category and screen/page/tool context. An optional screenshot can show notes visible on screen. Optional diagnostics include device model, system and app version, redacted application logs, editor state, and crash or hang information. Turn off the screenshot or diagnostic switches to exclude them.
Reports are stored in Apple's CloudKit service in a database restricted to the developer's maintainer role. Reports are linked to an app-specific CloudKit creator identifier, not your Apple account password or email address. We use reports only to answer support requests, investigate bugs and improve app functionality, never for advertising or tracking. Reports are kept while needed to resolve and understand reported issues. You can request deletion through the support route below; include the report's time, category and a non-sensitive excerpt so it can be identified. Do not send passwords or confidential material in a report.
System permissions and diagnostics
Microphone access is requested when you start recording. Camera access is requested when you take a photo. Local-network access supports optional nearby-device sync. You control these permissions in system Settings. Declining them does not block ordinary notebook writing. Apple may collect TestFlight usage, crashes and feedback under its own terms and your system settings; this is separate from the optional in-app feedback form.
Contact and changes
Use PageWright beta support for questions or privacy requests. This policy will be updated when the app's data handling changes.
